With yesterday's server save, some content fixes were implemented.

• It is possible again to harvest the giant dreadcoil in the An Interest Of Botany quest.

• Daily tasks are now repeatable every 20 hours again.

• Secret Service quest: Uncle now hands out another barrel of beer in case of loss.

• It is now possible to deliver scarab cheese to Rashid using the alternative route via the terramite dungeon close to Ankrahmun.

• Old Sanctuary of God King Qjell: All walls in the house can now be decorated. Therefore, all house rights were reset, and items that were hanging on the walls were sent to the inbox of the house owner.

• In addition, some map bugs and typos were fixed.

Please note that the preview worlds Aurora and Aurera are not part of this update. The fixes will be added to both preview worlds with the next days. Enjoy!

A mysterious stranger is on the way to Tibia. The appearance - not yet known for the traveller has been keeping to the shadows until now. The name - a mere whisper for it has been lost in the mists of time. All we know is that this stranger has an intriguing story to tell. A story yet to be written...

Have you ever wanted to create a Tibia NPC, decide on its name, appearance, and what it has to say? If so, our new contest may pique your interest. With the forthcoming summer update, a storyteller NPC will set foot on Tibian land. We want to offer you the chance to name the NPC, choose its appearance, and most importantly, to write the NPC dialogue.

In order to participate in this contest, you need to submit your idea for a storyteller NPC by using the template we have provided in the Auditorium. The deadline of this contest is May 28, 2013, 15:00 CEST. Out of all submission, we CMs will collect the most promising ones and hand them over to the content team. They will then pick their favourite entry from this selection and implement the NPC for the summer update as close to the original as possible. Besides getting announced in a news article, the winner will also be rewarded with 360 days of premium time and a CM token.

The guidelines for this contest as well as the template you need to follow can be found in the Auditorium so make sure to read them carefully before submitting an idea. We are looking forward to reading your suggestions.

A stressed, overworked, but lovely demon mommy is looking for babysitters for a few days, starting on May 07, server save. You should be patient, experienced with the behaviour of demons, and being able to help yourself since the wishes of the babies might be a bit extravagant. If you do a good job and return the little squaller cheerfully to his mother you will receive an endearing reward. Are you interested? Then travel to the Jakundaf desert tomorrow, search for the demon mother, and offer your help.

If your game world returns enough satisfied little demons to their mother until May 14, server save, she will reward the world with an experience bonus of 10% until May 21. In addition, the death penalty will be reduced by half until then.

In February this year, we informed you about a new initiative to improve Tibia with your help. Therefore, we started a new project, the Tibia Council.

The first Tibia Council group focused on hunting grounds, and we would like to take the opportunity to thank all council members for their dedicated work, their constructive and creative feedback. Also, a big thank you to all players who gave constructive feedback via the corresponding thread in the Auditorium or on the Gameplay board.

During the last weeks, our content team evaluated your feedback and worked on the changes regarding certain hunting grounds. Now, that we are done with the internal testing there is no reason to wait any longer. Therefore, we will release a new patch with tomorrow's server save including the following changes:

New hunting grounds:



• Ankrahmun surroundings: a terramite dungeon was added in the desert.

• Nibelor: a new dungeon with ice golems and crystal spiders was added.

• Port Hope - Tiquanda: a new carniphila dungeon can be found in the jungle.

• Svargrond Barbarian Camp: a new hunting area with ice golems, crystal spiders, and ice witches was created.

• Svargrond Formorgar Glacier: dungeons with stone golems, gargoyles, frost dragons, frost dragon hatchlings, crystal spiders, and quara scouts were added. Also, the environment was changed a bit.

• Svargrond surroundings: a new special mammoth cave was added.

• Yalahar: a new hunting ground with war golems was placed in the Factory Quarter.

• Zao Muggy Plains: a new dungeon with lizard chosens was implemented.

• Zao Steppe: a new area with gnarlhounds was added.


Changes on existing hunting grounds:



• Ankrahmun Oasis Tomb

• Edron Wyvern Hill

• Laguna Island

• Tiquanda

• Svargrond Barbarian Camp

Please note that some of the adjustments on the existing hunting grounds are minor and hard to notice, while other changes might be very obvious. Also, we advise you to be careful while exploring the new dungeons and the changed areas.

In addition, we adjusted the loot of several monsters, and edited the spell behaviour and armour of carniphilas. We have also moved the NPC Buddel from east of the barbarian camp to north of the barbarian camp.

For further information concerning the hunting ground changes, please have a look at the corresponding thread on the Council board.The new patch will download automatically when you log into the game. If you experience any problems, you can also download the new stand-alone client version 9.86 from our download section.

Are you up for some monster slashing, Tibians? If so, the upcoming double XP and double skill week is a good time to hit the hunting grounds.

Between the server saves of April 20 and April 30, all monsters will yield twice the usual amount of experience points, and your skill training, including magic level, will advance twice as fast. The skill progress when training offline will also be doubled.

On our preview game worlds Aurora and Aurera, the experience points will be tripled, and character skills will advance three times as fast during this time. Also, the skill progress when training offline will be tripled.

During the last few weeks, many players experienced connection issues such as mass kicks. Some of these issues were caused by problems at our service provider, while others resulted from problems at a major American provider.

In order to alleviate the negative impact on your gameplay experience, all temple NPCs will hand out all blessings which are available in Tibia for free and for all players from tomorrow's server save on. You can get the blessings repeatedly so just ask a temple NPC for "blessing" in order to get protected. This option will be kept ingame until further notice.

We are in touch with our service provider in order to investigate the recent problems, and we will do whatever is in our power to provide a smooth, trouble-free gameplay experience.

Finally, spring is here, and one of the most dangerous breeds is about to hatch again to set the Tibian lands on fire.

From April 16 until April 23, almost every dragon lair will be filled with new born dragon hatchlings which are preparing to inflict war on Tibia.


Gather your weapons, defenders of Tibia, and send that fiery breed back to hell, but beware: even if you slay all hatchlings, more will follow and hatch out of their eggs until the dragon breeding season is over again! As a reward for your bravery, every dragon hatchling will yield 25% more experience.

In addition, five surprise nests are hidden in most of the cities and with some luck, you might find something nice in them. Furthermore, rabbits, chickens, and silver rabbits are still dropping colourful eggs. During this event, you can also buy them from Imalas, Maria, and Bonifacius.

Let the egg hunt begin!

We implemented a number of content fixes with today's server save.

• Large seashells can now be opened every 20 hours so you do not have to wait 24 hours anymore. Also, the mysterious shimmer swimmer can now be caught every 20 hours if Lake Equivocolao in Tiquanda is dirty enough.

• We addressed a small issue with Gnomeral who did not respond to the keyword "matchmaker" under certain circumstances.

• Zizzle now resupplies players with an interdimensional potion and a scribbled sheet of paper in case of loss.

• We fixed an issue with Anderson who teleported players to Folda upon the keyword "kick". Players will now be teleported next to his raft.

• Pyro Peter changed his position and can no longer be used to block other players from visiting a store in Venore.

• The fansite item of our supported fansite Tibia Library, a bookworm doll, was implemented.

The patch will download automatically when you log into the game. If you experience any problems, you can also download the new stand-alone client version 9.85 from our download section.
